She was born in Nicosia in 1980. She is a graduate of the Department of Turkish Studies of the University of Cyprus and has completed her Postgraduate studies in Istanbul in the field of Cultural Studies. Since 2015 she is a PhD candidate at the Department of Turkish Studies of the University of Cyprus. Her research focuses on Literature, Women’s Position and Bi-communal Activity in Cyprus. Her poems have been published in various literary journals in Cyprus and Greece, in two Cypriot poetry anthologies in Cyprus, in a Cypriot poetry anthology in Italian and in a Cypriot poetry anthology in Bulgarian. Her poems have been translated into Turkish, English, Italian, German and Bulgarian. She is the Co-president of the Cyprus Artists and Writers Union.
