Arabic -German Literature Days Festival

This year, under the title of "Criminalized Languages", the Arabic German Literature Days festival will be held in Berlin, Germany, with the participation of many figures of poets, writers, musicians and artists.
The Arabic- German Literature Days Festival was established in 2018 in Berlin, and it is an annual independent literary festival that hosts poets and writers from Arabic-speaking and German-speaking countries, headed by an honorable literary figure each year, chaired by Palestinian poet Ghassan Zaqtan this year, who will deliver the opening speech. The festival offers discussions about cultural, political and social issues.
The festival celebrates and presents Arabic and German literature of the same level of parity as all other kinds of literature and introduces writers to a mixed audience with literary and simultaneous translation between the two languages and it is held annually at the Arab Library in Berlin (Baynatna).
The second edition of the Arabic-German Literature Days Festival is organized in cooperation with the Arabic-German Cultural Magazine “ FANN” and Gunda Werner Institute for Feminism and Gender Democracy.
The festival is directed by Dr. Ines Kappert, Head of  Gunda Verna Institute for Feminist and Gender Democracy, The Syrian Palestinian poets Ramy Al-Asheq and the translator Lillian Pittan, who are editors-in-chief of FANN Magazine.
The festival will start on Friday 25/ 10/ 2019.
